Activating the System in Day Mode

• Keep the Key in OFF position • Keep the switch in Day Mode • Activate the system by changing it to ON Position, Now the system will be activated in day Mode.System-ON LED will Start Glowing (Green). In day Mode ,the zones(1,2) will be in de-active state, Panic & tamper zone will be active.

Activating the system in Night Mode

 • Change the Key to OFF position
 • Change the Switch to Night Mode
 • Activate the system by changing Key to ON Position.

 Now the system will be activated in Night Mode.In Night mode both Zones(1,2) Will be activated, Zone 1 takes delay time of 30/60 seconds to activate,Until then Zone 1 LED will be blinking in red color after delay time it will start glowing  , zone 2 will be activated immediately(Zone 2 LED will glow in red color). Panic zone will be de-active in night mode. Burglar Alarm systems consists of an Relay which gets tripped during an intrusion /event.The auto dialer can be connected to these relays.When the relay trips during an intrusion its gets the auto dialer triggered which will make the dialer to send notifications to your mobile informing about the event.The relay connection depends up on the alarm panel you use,in ATSS Panels the connections are as in pictures.

Positioning of the Auto Dialer

The auto dialer can be placed adjacent to the control panel or within the control panel.It is ideal to place the auto dialer inside the alarm control panel because the auto dialer has to be accessed for programming only occasionally.

How to Connect Recessed Mount Sensor to Door ?

Recessed door sensors are used in Home security alarm systems to sense opening and closing of doors. In recessed Mount sensors the contact and the magnet are recessed (Hidden) into the door and door frame. A small circular hole must be drilled into the door frame and in a corresponding point on the door to place the sensors.The Working of Recessed mount sensor is same as Surface mount sensor,When the magnet moves away from contact(Switch) the circuit gets opened and alarm raises.Placing of Recessed Mount sensors are quite a tough job which should be done with lot of care.It involves drilling of door frame and door ,so fix the place where you are going to place the sensor and start the work.

Like surface mount sensor ,recessed type also has two parts one Magnet part and one Reed switch part.

The Reed switch part is the wired part of sensor where you have 2 Wires or More.This part should be placed at the Door Frame as in the picture above. While drilling make a way to take the wires out which should lead to the alarm panel.

Mark a Point straight from the area where the reed switch part placed in door frame and drill a hole,here the magnet part of the sensor should be placed.

Before connecting it to the alarm panel, check with the multi meter for continuity when door is closed.If tested OK proceed to connecting it to alarm panel.

  Zone 1

Zone 1 Must be connected to Main door of the home, because Zone 1 has the time delay feature ,which provides you time to enter home and deactivate the system. Control panel should be placed near main door but at a safe place where you can reach in few seconds.With in the Time delay time you need to deactivate the system else the siren will start ringing.

Zone 2

Areas such as Windows,Shutters,etc can be connected to Zone 2 in series connection, Zone 2 is immediate Zone,Once the zones are violated it alerts the control panel immediately and the sirens starts ringing.

Panic Zone

Active 108 has an separate Zone for Panic,using this zone you can connect an panic switch/Button and place It in an area where kids cant reach but accessible for you during emergency situations (For example Bedroom etc).Once Panic switch is switched the siren starts ringing.

Sirens

Active 108 has provision for 2 Sirens, Make sure you place both sirens at various end of the home.If placed at same place burglars can tamper both at same time,if placed at various place if one siren is tampered another will start ringing immediately as both sirens terminals have tamper provisions which you can use.

How to Connect Surface Mount Magnetic Sensor to Door ?

Surface Mount Magnetic Sensors are used to protect doors in Wired Burglar/intrusion alarm system. The switch is mounted to the surface of a door or window, the switch has a contact, which is closed by magnetic field generated by magnet. When the door or window moves away from the magnet, the switch opens and it is sensed by the alarm control panel.The sensors should be placed from inner side of the door ,Surface Mount Sensors have two parts one reed switch and one Magnet.Now Lets See where these 2 Parts should be placed in a Door while installation.

Placing of Reed Switch Part 

The Reed Switch Part is the wired part of the sensor.Wiring From alarm panel zone should be connected to the terminals on the Reed switch part.So keep in mind that this part should be placed at an fixed place of the door as it involves wiring ,that is in Doorframes. Look at the picture above to understand clearly.

Placing of Magnetic Part 

The Other part i.e is magnet part should be placed in the moving part of the door.It should be drilled properly so that it does not change position.

Working of Magnetic Sensor 

When the Reed switch part and magnet part are close to each other it creates an closed circuit as the reed switch will be closed due to the magnetic pull generated  by the magnet part,when the door is opened (Alarm in Armed state) magnet part moves away from the switch resulting in loss of magnetic pull which in turn results in  open circuit,this will make the alarm to raise.

Placing Distance between Reed Switch part and Magnet Part ?

You can Place both parts at a distance where you get continuity when checked with a multi meter.
